NHS Transformation
OLDHAM URGENT CARE ALLIANCE – NEW PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT OFFICE TO INTEGRATE HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE RESULTS IN 5.8% REDUCTION IN UNPLANNED HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS
Working with eight alliance partners in Oldham's Urgent Care Alliance, V4 Services established a Programme Management Office to coordinate all projects within the Better Care Fund (BCF) programme to ensure the guideline reduction of at least 3.5% in
non-elective admissions to hospital was met compared to the previous year.

During the 12 month period unplanned hospital admissions reduced by 5.9% while at the same time attendances to A&E increased by 2.6%.

Programme Management Office
AYLESBURY VALE DISTRICT COUNCIL - PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT OFFICE DELIVERS AYLESBURY'S MAJOR INVESTMENT PROGRAMME
Aylesbury Vale District Council appointed V4 Services in 2010 to implement a Programme Management Office (PMO) to coordinate and manage the council’s challenging £100 million Major Projects Programme.

A package of strategic projects worth £116,000,000 has been delivered including:
  • New 1,200 seat Aylesbury Waterside Theatre/entertainment venue.
  • New retail development including supermarket, hotel and multi-storey car park.
  • New further/higher education facility, University Campus Aylesbury Vale.
  • New council offices.
  • Refurbished and developed Aquavale Swimming and Fitness Centre.
  • Enhanced public realm including a new public square adjacent to the theatre.

Gateway Conference Centre, Aylesbury
AYLESBURY VALE DISTRICT COUNCIL - NEW COUNCIL OFFICES AND CONFERENCE CENTRE
The newly developed Gateway Office, completed in March 2012, forms the corner piece of the regeneration of the 2.5 hectare Gatehouse Road site in the north west of Aylesbury.

The overall development includes land for affordable housing and the support of new enterprise and job creation.
  • Modern and flexible staff accommodation for around 300 employees.
  • Hot desk facilities and ‘break out’ spaces supporting more flexible working.
  • Multi-use area for the employees and the public creating and building community links.
  • Multi-functional council chamber.
  • A commercially operated conference and training centre which compliments the council’s drive to support growth, 
  • development, and business in the town.

Programme Management Office
BASILDON COUNCIL - IMPLEMENTATION OF A PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT OFFICE TO SUPPORT TRANSFORMATION
Basildon Council appointed V4 Services to implement a holistic programme management office approach to all projects within its transformation programme.  This included:
  • Project prioritisation
  • Programme and project management disciplines
  • Streamlined processes and benefits tracking and realisation across all projects.

AYLESBURY VALE DISTRICT COUNCIL - REFURBISHED AND EXTENDED AQUA VALE SWIMMING AND FITNESS CENTRE
The newly refurbished and extended Aqua Vale Swimming and Fitness Centre  offers members, customers and visitors to Aylesbury greatly enhanced facilities.

It also attracted keen interest from the market when the leisure management contract was out to procurement enabling the council to secure a £620,000 annual betterment on the operating contract.

Waterside Theatre
AYLESBURY VALE DISTRICT COUNCIL - NEW REGIONAL THEATRE AND ENTERTAINMENT VENUE
Aylesbury Vale District Council appointed V4 Services in 2010 to implement a Programme Management Office (PMO) to co-ordinate and manage the council’s challenging £116 million Major Projects Programme.

The first major project within this programme was the development of the new £35 million Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.

Transformation Programme Management Office
PETERBOROUGH CITY COUNCIL - PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT OFFICE ENSURES COUNCIL'S INVESTMENT ACHIEVES RESULTS
A Programme Management Office was set up to oversee around 80 individual projects within Peterborough City Council's transformation programme.  All projects were subject to:

  • Robust governance
  • Gateway approvals including mandates and business cases
  • Transparency and monthly reporting 

The council-wide transformation programme delivered £48 million cumulative savings over four years.
