NHS Transformation
OLDHAM URGENT CARE ALLIANCE – NEW PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT OFFICE TO INTEGRATE HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE RESULTS IN 5.8% REDUCTION IN UNPLANNED HOSPITAL ADMISSIONS

Working with eight alliance partners in Oldham's Urgent Care Alliance, V4 Services established a Programme Management Office to coordinate all projects within the Better Care Fund (BCF) programme to ensure the guideline reduction of at least 3.5% in
non-elective admissions to hospital was met compared to the previous year.

During the 12 month period unplanned hospital admissions reduced by 5.8% while at the same time attendances to A&E increased by 2.6%.

Wirral Council Local Authority Trading Company
WIRRAL COUNCIL - GROUNDWORK COMPLETED TO SET UP NEW LOCAL AUTHORITY TRADING COMPANY FOR ADULT DAY SERVICES

In February 2014 V4 Services were commissioned by Wirral Council, using the ESPO Pro5 National Consultancy Framework, to undertake a review of the proposed Llocal Authority Trading Company (LATC) for adult day services and day opportunities.The brief was to explore the viability of a new LATC delivery model for these services.  Of significant importance was the assessment of:
  • The likelihood of the LATC to deliver the Medium Term Financial Plan; and
  • The ability of the LATC to deliver these services with long term stability and sustainability.
Our team worked in partnership with the Council to carry out all the necessary work to provide confidence to the decision makers and prepare the Council for moving to a different model for the provision of adult day services and opportunities.

Oldham Council public health integration
OLDHAM COUNCIL - PUBLIC HEALTH CONTRACT REVIEW DELIVERS £1.4 MILLION SAVINGS
Work to integrate public health into Oldham Council has delivered £1.4 million of ongoing savings following a detailed review of all transferred contracts.   

V4 Services were challenged to deliver a million pound of savings from the overall budget of seven million spent on third party suppliers who provide a range of public health services to Oldham’s community.

Drug and alcohol services
PETERBOROUGH CITY COUNCIL - IMPROVEMENTS SECURED IN DRUG AND ALCOHOL SERVICES
Significant improvements were secured in the range and quality of services for those with drug and alcohol issues including:

  • Savings of £460,000 per year throughout the three year contract term.
  • Greater investment made in drug education and preventative services.

Nottingham Hospitals NHS Trust case study
NOTTINGHAM UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS NHS TRUST - SIX FIGURE SUM RECOVERED FOLLOWING SPEND RECOVERY AUDIT
A project focused on duplicate and over payments to suppliers and a review of credit notes, by our delivery partner, MeridianV4 Services, has returned a six figure sum back to Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

80% of the total value recovered was achieved within six weeks of the project starting and all recoveries were delivered in line with expectations set before the project started.
